Careful, Raj - if your friend does go ahead and tape the concert, tell him not to get too excited during the show. The taping equipment could fall to the floor, and the entire concert may stop while the band looks on disapprovingly. As for dealing with the bootleggers, just say, "so you say I push this to record?"

i think bootlegs are great. you will really be doing a favor for fans of the doobie brothers everywhere! but really, i'd do it. i mean bootleggers can be nasty, and you do want to see the concert, don't you? and think, maybe you can get a copy of the show for yourself, wouldn't that be swell.
