My friend Nick had a party a couple weeks ago and I got soused. Well, worse than soused, I was drunk off my ass. Me and all Nick's other friends were gonna spend the night, so after everyone else left, we all found the spot where we were gonna sleep in the living room to watch movies. Nick was sober and we ended up under the same blankie. After lights out Nick led me to his bed and we lied down together. He got me to have sex with him, during which, I passed out. I don't know whether or not I should report it as a rape. I know I would never have had sex with him if I had been sober and I feel so dirty because of what I did with him, but he is my friend and I don't want to get him in trouble. What can I do without hurting our friendship?

The "experts" talk to women about rape "prevention" instead of to men about male responsibility for their own sexuality. The expert list of ways women can prevent men from raping them is seemingly endless: don't go out alone at night, don't go to bars, don't drink or do drugs, take a self defense course, tuck long hair inside jackets or shirts while out walking, always park in a well lighted area, don't take public transportation, always look in your car before getting in, always have your keys ready, never open your door to a stranger, always keep all doors and windows locked in both car and home, don't leave your name on your answering machine or mailbox, on and on ad nauseam. Susan Brownmiller pointed out that if any woman did all these things she would meet the clinical definition of paranoia.

Hmm, tough one here. He's your friend, it sounds like the two of you made a mistake, and now you're wondering if you should report him as a rapist. Perhaps it would be good practice for later in life should you decide to sue friends of yours if something goes wrong between the two of you. Maybe your best friend accidentally got your car into an accident. Sue him! Wait, your friend borrowed the car but you didn't give him permission that time? Report him for grand theft auto! Don't try to work it out with your friend. Don't seek counseling. Don't talk to other friends and family about it. Turn to law enforcement to deal with it! There's no problem a little jail time wouldn't prolong. Maybe try to get drunk more often so these sorts of situations can keep coming up. If you get really good at it, you can learn to never share responsibility for anything you do! Try it, it's fun!

Friends have a big influence on teenagers overall, but girls are particularly susceptible to peer pressure when it comes to drinking. Adolescent girls are more likely than boys to drink to fit in with their friends, while boys drink largely for other reasons --mainly to get girls drunk. Girls often are introduced to alcohol by their boyfriends, who are totally horny and want to 'do it'. Let this be a lesson to you. You should only drink alone from now on.

you have already had sex with him, your friendship, sad to say, has already ended. find another friend and make sure to only shake hands with this one when you are soused or worse than soused.

just because you passed out midway and missed the ending doesn't mean you didn't agree to it in the first place. i mean you were perfectly happy to crawl under his blankie. alcohol is not an excuse, and this boy did not rape you. you are the worst kind of slut.
