MP3.com SagaUnfortunately, it has become apparent to us that mp3.com does not care at all about the artists. They only care about the investors. Therefore, we have pulled all our music off of mp3.com and have written a song explaining why. We are urging other bands to take the same action. Our song is temporarily available at http://fma.addr.com/chuckles/pulledAllMySongsOffMp3com.mp3. We don't expect that mp3.com will ever approve the song.
Here is a list of bands that have joined us:
Well, I pulled all my songs off of mp3.com there was nothing else that I could do Their service has declined and it just blows my mind that something could suck so much that used to be so cool The first problem, way back when was when I wrote a song about religion they said it didn't fit with their idea of religious because it wasn't Christian then they tried to move away from DIY major label music, going to court for the rights giving all that money to their enemies from the start the major labels and corporate art to cover all these debts they had to take away service from the little guys no more free pay for play now this wouldn't bother me if they'd just admit that they really plan to phase out all their free service I posted a song with an appropriate name they said I couldn't use that title, because "it's not allowed to game" what the hell that means, they never would say and oddly 5 other songs have that same title still today what's even worse is that they didn't tell me what's wrong they just went and blocked downloads of my song it took them two weeks to respond to my e-mail asking why if this is the treatment I get, I'd rather not even try and now it takes a month for an unpaid song to get approved when it used to take a day or two Even worse is my experience with the DAM CD I pulled all mine off, don't want them making money off of me It still showed as for sale on my site for 3 weeks long I emailed, no response, finally, I deleted every song So I bet they won't post this song, but that is ok I will post it all over to get the word out today that mp3.com has the investor in mind who cares about the artists? they are just a dime a dozen |
